Alumnus Will Tye Catches with Giants

By Joshua Rigsby, Reporter

Will Tye is making big news after his performance a few weeks back when the Giants won against the San Francisco 49ers. Tye is an alumnus of Xavier, graduating in 2010. Tye played as a tight end and defensive end at Xavier. After he graduated, he spent a year at the post-grad Salisbury school, before going to the Seminoles of Florida University and eventually transferring to Stony Brook University. He played college ball there and then was signed by the New York Giants. Against the 49ers Tye made 4 receptions, good for second on the team during that contest. After the game, Tye said, “It feels real good.” He says he knows that his team is cheering for him and we are too! On Monday night Tye played many snaps again at the TE position–hauling in 2 catches for 22 yards.
