Xavier Hockey Skates to Success
January 14, 2016
Xavier hockey has been doing great this season. They have an 8-1 record so far and they’re still going strong. Their recent successes include a win at the West Haven Holiday Hockey Tournament and a win against Simsbury with a score of 6-1.
Recently I had the opportunity to speak with Coach Deconti and I asked him some questions about the season.
The first question I asked him was “How do you think the season is going so far?” He responded with “It’s going pretty good, we won the Christmas tournament at West Haven when we had not a single game in the tournament last year. Overall it has been a good season so far.”
The second question I asked him was “What are the team’s goals for the rest of the season?”He answered with “We want to win the Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) this year and we want to get back to Yale.”
Finally the third question I asked him was what is going to be the toughest team you are going to face. He answered with “Any team we play in the SCC will always be tough.”
For anyone who is interested in attending any of the hockey games here is a list of the upcoming home games this month. All home games are at the Freeman Athletic Center in Wesleyan University.
