Sam Rector is a senior at Xavier High School and a reporter for the Kestrel. He plays basketball at Xavier, too, while destroying his opponents on the math team. He also volunteers for the Ambassador’s Club..

Sam loves sports, no matter what kind. He has his own blog at americansports.blog as well as a podcast. Expect a wealth of pieces on sports from him, locally or nationwide. Sam is excited to continue writing for the the Kestrel and is looking forward to a great year.
